Deep magenta in colour. The palate surprises as it is not as brute the nose suggests. It is medium bodied with fruit flavours of dark cherries and blackberries, the tannins are silky smooth and in harmony with the fruit to a lingering finish.
A nose of full intensity, showing leather, dark chocolate and high tones of cassis and ju-jube fruit pastilles.
Roast Duck with all of the trimmings.
This wine will provide good drinking over the next 10-12 years.
