This wine is passed over the skins left from the fermentation of grapes, which have been dried, following an acient Veronese technique, which enriches the structure of the wine. Made from 100% Corvine grapes grown in the hills to the North of Verona. The wine is then aged in large oak barrels. This is a dry, full bodied red wine with a deep ruby red colour. On the palate there are flavours of dark berries and hints of vanilla from the oak aging.
Black cherries and ripe berries are to be revealed on the nose with hints of cedar and liquorice.
Goes well with marinara pastas and simple seafood dishes.
This wine will provide good drinking over the next five years.
